Jose Reyes went 2-for-6, to bump his average back to .305, and scored twice in the Mets’ 12-0 win over Washington. Reyes has now scored 85 runs and stolen 40 bases, and usually, as he goes, so goes the Mets offense. (Rotowire)

Reyes Reaches 40-Steal Mark

Mets SS Jose Reyes reached 40 stolen bases for the fourth straight year. Reyes is having a very good year, despite a slight dip in steals totals. Consider him a must-start shortstop in all Fantasy leagues and an MVP in Rotisserie formats. (CBS Sports)

Reyes Cruising with Multi-Hit Games in 7 of Last 8

Mets SS Jose Reyes went 2-for-5 on Saturday against the Astros. Reyes singled twice, scored a run and stole his 36th base of the season. Reyes has hits in seven of his last eight and all of those are multi-hit contests. Reyes may have come out of the All-Star break a little sluggish, but he’s hot as wildfire right now. It is once again safe to start Reyes in all Fantasy formats. We recommend it. (CBS Sports)

Reyes Off and Running With Two Doubles and a Steal

Mets SS Jose Reyes had three hits, including two doubles, in five at-bats Tuesday against the Marlins. Reyes almost legged out a triple in the first inning, but was gunned down going to third base. He now has 29 doubles on the season and also picked up his 35th stolen base Tuesday. Reyes now has multi-hit games in four of his last five outings. He is 11-for-28 (.393) with one homer and three RBI in that span. Reyes came out of the All-Star break a little sluggish, but he has started to heat up and produce across the board once again for Fantasy owners. (CBS Sports)

Reyes Loves Extra Innings

Jose Reyes, who seems to love extra inning games, went 4-for-8 with two runs scored and an RBI in the Mets 10-8, 14th inning loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night. With tonight’s performance, Reyes is now officially batting at the .300 mark for the year and has hit 25 doubles. (Rotowire)

Reyes Drives Go-Ahead Homer Against Phillies

Jose Reyes hit a go-ahead three-run homer as the Mets topped the Phillies on Wednesday night. Reyes won the game for the Mets on the same day he was publicly called out by Jimmy Rollins for costing New York the first game of the series. The homer was his only hit of the night, but that’s probably just fine with Jerry Manuel. Reyes is hitting .297 with 11 homers, 73 runs, 46 RBI and 33 stolen bases. (Rotoworld)

Reyes Destroys Reds with a 4-for-6, 3 Runs and a Steal

Jose Reyes went 4-for-6 with a stolen base and three runs scored on Sunday. Reyes tripled once and singled three times. The stolen base was his 33rd of the season, putting him well off his pace from last year, when he finished with 78. Still, the total is good for third in the National League behind Willy Taveras and Juan Pierre. (Rotoworld)

Reyes Goes Solo Against Rockies

Jose Reyes hit a solo homer in the fifth inning Saturday as the Mets topped the Rockies 3-0 to win their eighth straight game. Fernando Tatis got the Mets going with an RBI single in the fourth inning that scored Carlos Beltran. Reyes did his thing in the fifth, then Brian Schneider doubled in a run in the sixth. Three runs got the job done behind some stellar bullpen work. After a poor April. Reyes hit over .300 in May and June and is batting .364 in July. With 10 home runs, 43 RBI and 68 runs, Reyes is on pace to surpass all of the numbers he posted in 2007, save for steals, for which he currently has 32. (Rotoworld, Rowowire)

Reyes Scorching At the Plate, but 10 CS’s

Mets SS Jose Reyes had two singles and one run in five at-bats Tuesday against the Giants. Reyes failed to steal his 33rd base as he was caught stealing for the 10th time this season. The speedy shortstop is 9-for-20 (.450) with one walk and three stolen bases during a four-game hitting streak. Reyes now has five multi-hit games in July and has really been hitting well since mid-May. Too bad the All-Star voters haven’t taken notice as Reyes will be watching the game from home in 2008. Fantasy owners still consider Reyes an All-Star and there is no need to bench the speedster at this time. (CBS sports)

Reyes Offers Productive 0-for-3 Against Phillies

Mets SS Jose Reyes didn’t contribute any hits in Friday’s loss to the Phillies. He did contribute just about every other way, however. Reyes went 0-for-3 but drove in a run, walked and stole his 29th base of the season. A Fantasy Rotisserie league maven, Reyes has hits in six of his last eight games, though this was his first steal in that span. Reyes’ average is .292 and we expect those numbers to get better and better. Continue to start the stud shortstop in all Fantasy formats. (CBS Sports)

Reyes Has Run-In with Seinfeld’s Keith Hernandez

The New York Post reports that Jose Reyes and mustached announcer Keith Hernandez had to be separated on the Mets’ team charter on Sunday night. Reyes was supposedly told by friends and family members that Hernandez accused the Mets of “babying” him after he threw his glove in the dirt after a throwing error in Sunday’s game. “I’m not too happy with the way he’s been talking,” said Reyes on Thursday. Both men say that the issue was more of a conversation than a confrontation. (Rotoworld)

Reyes Scurries for MLB-Leading Ninth Triple

Mets SS Jose Reyes hit his major league-leading ninth triple and finished Wednesday’s game against the Cardinals 3-for-5 with one run. Reyes is 10-for-31 (.323) in his last seven games. Reyes dealt with a minor hamstring injury in late June that gave the Mets and Fantasy owners a bit of a scare. However, he has recorded a few triples since and hasn’t shown any lingering issues. Continue to start the Rotisserie threat in all Fantasy formats. (CBS Sports)

Reyes Causes Controversy with Error Reaction

Jose Reyes went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a walk in the Mets’ 3-1 win over the Yankees Sunday but all that was being discussed in the papers was his actions following his seventh-inning error, the NY Newsday reports. After being charged with an error on a wide throw that first baseman Carlos Delgado could have gloved but didn’t, Reyes fired his glove to the ground - his sunglasses fell off, too - and then walked off the field instead of hustling to the dugout once the inning was over. After the game, Reyes said he was upset at making his 11th error of the year and not showing up Delgado, but it was a ball Delgado should have handled, though Reyes should have not reacted in that manner. Just another possible soap opera to add to the already combustible mix in New York. (Rotowire)

Reyes Homers and Nabs a Base Against Seattle

Jose Reyes hit a three-run homer and stole his 27th base of the year Wednesday. Reyes hit the homer off Mariners SP Miguel Batista during a four-run third inning Wednesday as New York won 8-2. Now this is the Jose Reyes that fantasy owners used a top draft pick on. He’s been one of the few bright spots for the Mets these past couple months. eyes had no homers and just two RBI in his previous 18 games before going deep Wednesday. He still remained productive at the plate, recording a hit in all but three of those games. Reyes’ average is creeping toward .300 and the speedy shortstop remains a must-start Fantasy option. Reyes Triple-Happy - Leg Seems to be Fine

For the second straight day, Mets SS Jose Reyes led off Sunday’s game against the Rockies with a triple, and he gave the Mets a 1-0 lead when he scored on David Wright’s infield single. Reyes extended his hitting streak to six games while netting his eighth triple. He is 9-for-23 (.391) with two RBI and two stolen bases in that span. Reyes had to leave Wednesday’s game against the Angels because of a stiff hamstring. He returned to the lineup Thursday and has since legged out three triples. Yeah, it doesn’t appear as though Reyes is having any lingering problems with his hamstring. (CBS Sports)
