Jones Sits on Saturday with Right Shoulder Woes

Chipper Jones is sitting out Saturday’s game with right shoulder tendinitis. “I can’t really throw, as you saw last night,” Jones said. “My throws have been terrible. I can’t get it across the infield, and swinging is worse. I couldn’t get the bat head where I needed to get it last night. I’m having to cut off my swing. I’m a detriment to us right now. I’ve been in a lot of pain,” Jones said. “I might have to get this checked out after the season. Hopefully it’s just tendinitis like they said nothing structural.” Still, he’s hoping to return in a day or two. Jones decided against a cortisone shot in part because he knew it’d cost him a few days. (Rotoworld, Rotowire)
