Webb Has Second-Straight Rough Outing
Brandon Webb had a second straight rough outing Sunday, allowing eight runs — six earned — in 3 1/3 innings against the Dodgers. Despite facing weaker offenses, Webb has allowed 14 runs in eight innings over his last two starts. His previous outing against the Padres didn’t raise any red flags, but he walked five and looked pretty pedestrian tonight. If his shoulder is bothering him again, the Diamondbacks are in trouble. Wellemeyer Allows One Run in Seven Innings - No Decision
Cardinals SP Todd Wellemeyer (11-6) went seven innings and allowed one run and four hits Sunday against the Astros, but couldn’t get any run support as he took the loss during a 3-0 win for Houston. Wellemeyer, who struck out four, allowed his only run on a RBI single by Hunter Pence. Wellemeyer should have won for the fourth time in five starts instead of losing his second straight outing. Wellemeyer has not allowed more than four runs in his last eight starts and is starting to look solid on the hill once again. He can be treated as a No. 4 Fantasy SP in mixed leagues. His next scheduled start is for Saturday against the Marlins. (CBS Sports)

Gerut Held Out With Sprained Finger
Jody Gerut was held out of Saturday’s starting lineup due to a sprained middle finger. Gerut also missed Friday and will likely be out until Monday. He apparently suffered the injury on a stolen base attempt during Wednesday’s game. “Hopefully, each day it gets a little better. We’ll see how he is tomorrow. But I’m not hopeful,” manager Bud Black said. (Rotoworld)

Fielder Needs To Get His Groove Back
Brewers 1B Prince Fielder had two singles and one RBI in five at-bats Sunday against the Pirates. He also scored once. Fielder is 7-for-30 (.233) with five RBI in his last seven games. Fielder hasn’t done a lot at the plate since mid-August and hasn’t had a homer since Aug. 13. Still, he has enough offensive potential that you can’t afford to sit him in Fantasy for fear of breaking out. (CBS Sports)
