Milledge Goes Yard, Awfully Hot in the Last Month
Lastings Milledge (hand) hit his 13th home run of the season Tuesday. His hand, struck by a Ryan Dempster pitch over the weekend, would seem to be just fine. Milledge is wrapping up a fantastic August, collecting hits in 21 of 24 games en route to a .344/.412/.611 line in 90 at bats, and it doesn’t look like he’s about to slow down. Milledge is heating up at the dish and now has hits in seven of his last eight contests. He’s having a nice second half, finally proving to be the elite talent he is. Consider him someone to trust in all deeper leagues now, especially Rotisserie formats. (Rotowire, CBS Sports)
