Phillips Homers in Losing Effort (Again)
Brandon Phillips finished 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Friday but the Reds lost to the Astros in the 10th inning. Phillips’ two-run shot in the third inning gave the Reds a 4-2 lead but the bullpen couldn’t hold on. Jeff Keppinger helped out, driving in three runs with a double, but that’s all the Reds could muster. Phillips is batting .276 with 17 home runs and 66 RBI. (Rotoworld)
