Morton May Get Called Up for Emergency Start
Charlie Morton is likely to be recalled from Triple-A Richmond and start Monday’s game against St. Louis, the team’s official web site reports. Jo-Jo Reyes was set to start Monday but was used in relief on Sunday. Reyes struggled again, so Morton could take his place in the rotation with a strong outing. Since he was sent to Triple-A on Saturday, the Braves will need to place someone on the DL in order to bring him back within seven days of his demotion. That could be a sign Chipper Jones is headed for the DL. (Rotowire)
