Phillips Homers Off Mets’ Pelfrey

2B Brandon Phillips was one of three Reds to homer off Mets SP Mike Pelfrey Sunday. Phillips’ 16th homer was a solo shot off Pelfrey in the sixth. It was his first homer since July 10. He finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Phillips is 4-for-16 (.250) with four RBI in the first four games after the All-Star break. His average has dropped from .289 to .278 in the last 10 games, but Phillips has shown he can get hot as quickly as he sometimes goes cold at the plate. Don’t bench the Fantasy must-start second baseman. (CBS Sports)
