All-Star Lincecum Masterful Against Cubs
Tim Lincecum held the Cubs to one run over eight innings Sunday and the Giants topped the Cubs 4-2. Lincecum was great once again. He fanned nine and issued just one walk while collecting his first career triple. The performance allows him to take a 2.57 ERA and an 11-2 record into his first All-Star game. (Rotoworld)

All-Star Wilson Shaky Again in Getting 25th Save
Brian Wilson persevered through a shaky ninth inning Sunday to earn his 25th save of the season. Wilson walked Jim Edmonds, gave up an RBI single to Geovanny Soto, and enabled the Cubs to move the tying run to third base with just one out. Wilson bounced back immediately with a strikeout of Daryle Ward, then got Ryan Theriot to ground out and ended the first half of the season in fine fashion. He heads to his first All-Star Game with the highest save total in the National League. (Rotoworld)

Webb Solid Against Phillies But No Run Support
Brandon Webb allowed two earned runs over seven innings Sunday against the Phillies but was left with a no-decision. Webb struck out six and was pretty solid, but got only two runs from his offense and was pulled after 108 pitches. He carries a 3.23 ERA and 13-4 record into his third straight All-Star Game. Burton’s Strained Lat Has DL Looming
Reds RP Jared Burton missed all three games at Milwaukee because of a strained lateral muscle. The team hopes he can avoid a trip to the DL because of the All-Star break, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. “We’ll have him throw Thursday,” manager Dusty Baker said. “If he’s not (better), we’ll disable him and get help from Louisville.” Burton is a solid middle reliever for deeper leagues that use true middle men. He could develop into a closer someday, but Francisco Cordero has a long-term deal he signed this winter, so don’t expect it at this point. (CBS Sports)

McClung to be Part of Pitching Platoon?
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Brewers manager Ned Yost is considering platooning SPs Seth McClung and Dave Bush in the No. 5 spot in the pitching rotation, depending on if the team is at home or on the road. Bush, who is 4-2, with a 2.49 ERA at Miller Park would start the home games, and McClung would start on the road, mainly because Bush is 1-6, with 6.95 ERA away from Milwaukee. “I think it makes sense,” Yost said. “I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel. All I’m trying to do is give us the best chance to win every day. … I’m trying to do what’s smart.” McClung and Bush are decent NL-only options right now, but this move just creates an extra headache for Fantasy owners. Obviously, some weeks both will get one start, while other weeks one might get two starts and the other zero. So, if you own either one of these two, you’ll have to look at where the Brewers are playing each week. Nothing like extra work, huh? (CBS Sports)

Theriot Extends Streak to Ten Games
Cubs SS Ryan Theriot had a single in five at-bats Sunday against the Giants to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. He is 20-for-45 (.444) with no homers and three RBI in that span. Theriot has six multi-hit games during his hitting streak. Theriot is a slap-hitting basestealer worth consider in all Rotisserie leagues. He lacks power and run-production potential, though, which makes him a lower-tier option in Head-to-Head points leagues. (CBS Sports)
