Bergmann Solid Again Without Run Support

Nationals SP Jason Bergmann pitched well Thursday against the Diamondbacks, but he didn’t get the support he needed for a win. He allowed two runs and six hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one, and has received a meager eight runs of support in his last 11 starts. Bergmann has a 1.91 ERA over his last five starts and would no doubt get more attention in mixed leagues if his team would score a run or two for him. He remains a decent sleeper in all formats, but with only one victory to show for his efforts, you can’t expect too much in the second half. Expect him to make a start in Fantasy Week 16 (July 17-20). (CBS Sports)
