Iannetta Starts, Torrealba Sits and Stews
Chris Iannetta started on Tuesday for the fifth time in the Rockies’ last six games. His platoon with Yorvit Torrealba has ebbed and flowed, but the long-term trend favors Iannetta, who has started 17 of the Rockies’ last 25 games. Iannetta’s prospect status and trade rumors involving Torrealba further swing the balance in his favor. Iannetta hit .308 in June with three homers and 10 RBI in 52 at-bats. (Rotowire)
