DeWitt Misses Pitches, Starts

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Blake DeWitt didn’t get the start in Thursday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox, but he did make an appearance in the game. DeWitt pinch hit in the 9th inning and grounded out to go 0-for-1 on the afternoon. DeWitt has just four hits in his last eight games and isn’t getting regular at-bats for the Dodgers. He’s been just awful in June, causing the Dodgers to call up Andy LaRoche to fill in for him. The minors might be calling his name before too long. He’s nothing more than an NL-only reserve right now. (CBS Sports)
