Reynolds Torched by Giants

Greg Reynolds was roughed up by the Giants on Thursday, giving up eight runs in 3 1/3 innings in a loss. Reynolds was 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three previous starts at Coors Field, but he allowed 12 of the 21 batters he faced to reach against him today. While he never embarrassed himself until today, the fact that he has as many homers allowed (nine) as strikeouts after seven starts suggests that he simply doesn’t belong in the majors. He went just 3 1/3 innings and gave up 10 hits and eight runs against a team he grew up idolizing. “This game was personal to me,” Reynolds said. “I looked forward to this one for a long time. I’m disappointed with myself.” (Rotoworld, CBS Sports)
