Fielder Launches His 11th HR – Still Behind 2007’s Pace
Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder smashed his 11th home run of the season Thursday against Houston. The Brewers won the game 9-6 and Fielder finished 2-for-3 with two walks to go with his dinger. Fantasy owners would prefer he have more than his 11 home runs at this point in the season, but at least it looks like Prince Fielder will heat up as the year drags on. Fielder has now hit in six of his last eight games though he only has two homers and four RBI over that span. Continue to start him in all Fantasy formats and hope his bat continues to liven up. Bergmann Roughed Up Again
Jason Bergmann struggled again Thursday, allowing six runs (four earned) in 4.2 innings. He gave up eight hits and a walk while striking out two. After reeling off a 19.2 innings scoreless streak in May Bergmann is just reeling right now, with a 7.47 ERA over his last three starts. Sit him down until he fixes whatever is wrong. (Rotowire)

Wilson Has More Save Opps – Guess What? Gets Saves!
After failing to record a save since May 29, Brian Wilson notched his third save in five days on Thursday. Although he’s bound to go through dry periods as San Francisco’s closer, Wilson still leads all NL relievers with 19 saves (in 21 attempts). (Rotowire)

Hart Homers Again
Corey Hart had a three-run homer off Brian Moehler in the win over the Astros on Thursday. Prince Fielder and Mike Cameron also took Moehler deep. Hart has three homers and two doubles in three games since moving into the leadoff spot. If this keeps up, Rickie Weeks is going to hit at the bottom of the order when he returns. (Rotoworld)

Bowker Heating Up Again
John Bowker is batting .313 (10-for-32) since the beginning of June. He’s had some success at the minor league level — batting .307 with 22 homers at Double-A Connecticut last year — and is worth keeping an eye on, especially when one considers he plays for a team that offers plenty of opportunity. Spilborghs Back in Action
Ryan Spilborghs returned to the starting lineup on Thursday and went 1-for-4 with a double and a walk. Spilborghs has been bothered by a bruised wrist and hadn’t started a game in five days, though he had been coming off the bench. He played center field over Willy Taveras today, with Brad Hawpe starting even though the Rockies were facing a left-hander. Hawpe ended up 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in the 10-7 loss. This was his first start since last Saturday. Spilborghs should split time with Willy Taveras in center field for the foreseeable future. The current indication is that Spilborghs will receive more than half of the playing time. (Rotoworld, Rotowire)

Meanwhile, in Richmond, Gonzalez Pitches Well Again
While the Braves’ pen floundered, Mike Gonzalez (elbow) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings Thursday for Triple-A Richmond. Gonzalez did issue his first walk since beginning his rehab assignment. He’s allowed one run and struck out 10 in nine innings between Double-A Mississippi and Richmond. (Rotoworld)

Reynolds Torched by Giants
Greg Reynolds was roughed up by the Giants on Thursday, giving up eight runs in 3 1/3 innings in a loss. Reynolds was 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three previous starts at Coors Field, but he allowed 12 of the 21 batters he faced to reach against him today. While he never embarrassed himself until today, the fact that he has as many homers allowed (nine) as strikeouts after seven starts suggests that he simply doesn’t belong in the majors. He went just 3 1/3 innings and gave up 10 hits and eight runs against a team he grew up idolizing. “This game was personal to me,” Reynolds said. “I looked forward to this one for a long time. I’m disappointed with myself.” (Rotoworld, CBS Sports)

DeWitt Picks The Wrong Week To Slump
Blake DeWitt went hitless on Thursday and is hitting .189 with no RBI through 11 games this month. With Andy LaRoche up, DeWitt has picked a bad time to go into a slump. He’ll be in danger of losing playing time to Andy LaRoche if this keeps up. (Rotoworld)

Phillips Knocks Three-Run Triple
Brandon Phillips hit a three-run triple in Cincinnati’s four-run seventh inning and the Reds beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-2 on Thursday night. Cincinnati loaded the bases against relievers Mark Worrell (0-1) and Randy Flores with two outs in the seventh. Ken Griffey Jr. walked to force in the go-ahead run and Phillips followed with a drive down the right-field line that got past a lunging Ryan Ludwick and bounced into the corner. Phillips finished 1-for-3 with one walk and now has five triples on the season. Phillips had been mired in a 2-for-18 slump prior to Thursday. Phillips can do it all for Fantasy owners. He can hit for power. He can drive in runs. He can post a decent average, and even has wheels to leg out triples and steal bases. If the Expos and Indians were a little more patient with Phillips’ progression, they could have an All-Star second baseman. Continue to start Phillips in all Fantasy formats. (Rotowire, CBS Sports)

Webb Reports No Ill Effects
Brandon Webb said that his hip felt fine after being hit by a Carlos Delgado line drive. Webb has a bruise, and says his hip is sore to the touch, but that it hasn’t hurt since he was hit. He also said that his arm doesn’t hurt, despite his decreased velocity, and reiterated that he might be going through a dead arm period. (Rotoworld)

Iannetta’s Knee OK – Sits Thursday
Chris Iannetta (left knee) felt fine on Thursday but received a routine day off, the Rockies’ official site reports. He had started four straight games, including a night game on Wednesday. Iannetta, who has taken the lead in a platoon with Yorvit Torrealba, should be back in the starting lineup soon. (Rotowire)

Acosta Takes Another Loss
Manny Acosta got the loss on Thursday in yet another rough outing, giving up a hit and two walks in an inning of work. In his last five outings, Acosta has allowed 12 runs, but only eight were earned thanks to his own throwing error. Rafael Soriano remains unavailable due to his elbow pain, so Acosta keeps seeing action in tight-and-late situations for the Braves, albeit non-save opportunities. (Rotoworld)

Coste Delivers a Baby Girl
Phillies catcher Chris Coste wasn’t with the team Thursday against the Marlins. His wife, Marcia, gave birth to the couple’s second child, Camryn Marie, on Wednesday night. Coste has been a solid catcher for Philadelphia in 2008. He is hitting .313 with six homers and 17 RBI. However, Philly is still splitting his ABs with Carlos Ruiz. Coste is best left for NL-only Fantasy leagues when active. (CBS Sports)
