Victorino On Fire, Still, Yet Again
Shane Victorino drove in the game’s go-ahead run with an RBI single in the top of the ninth of a 6-3 win over the Braves on Sunday. The two teams were tied at 3-3 until Victorino’s single to center scored Eric Bruntlett to make it 4-3. Ryan Howard then added two runs of insurance with a double. Victorino also had two other singles, a stolen base, and three runs scored in the contest. Victorino has become an instrumental cog in the Phillies offense out of the No. 2 hole, batting .291. His speed makes him a must-start in Rotisserie leagues, and his extra-base power makes him worth using in most Head-to-Head leagues as well. (Rotoworld, CBS Sports)

Marquis Gets the Win Against Dodgers
Jason Marquis limited the Dodgers to an unearned run over 6 1/3 innings to win on Sunday night. Marquis hasn’t been working deep into games at all — tonight’s outing was his second longest of the season — but he has now gone five straight starts without allowing more than three runs. That’s good enough with the way the Cubs have hit. He’s 4-3 with a 4.54 ERA. Consistency hasn’t been Marquis’ strong suit, considering he entered the game with a 5.17 ERA over his last three starts. His short stints on the mound don’t help him win games and don’t make his contributions relevant to Fantasy mixed-leagues. Leave him for NL-only formats. His next start is scheduled for Saturday at Toronto. (Rotoworld, CBS Sports)

Teixeira Still Simmering
Mark Teixeira continued his hot hitting with a 3-for-5 day that included a two-run homer on Sunday. Teixeira hit a two-run shot off Adam Eaton in the first, then later added a pair of singles. He now has five homers over his last 11 games. He’s batting .407 with three home runs through 27 June at-bats.(Rotoworld, CBS Sports)

Chipper Jones to Miss a Few Days with Strained Quad
Chipper Jones is out of the lineup Sunday with a slight tear in his right quadriceps. Jones suffered the strain in the seventh inning of Saturday night’s game against the Phillies at Turner Field. “It’s pretty sore this morning,” Jones said on Sunday. “We’ll see when it gets better.” This injury doesn’t sound like something that will keep Jones out for very long, but at his age you never really know how long it will take him to recover from things like this. Jones believes the injury won’t keep him out more than two or three days. He suffered the strain coming out of the batter’s box after a single in the seventh inning Saturday, but managed to finish the game. The soreness this morning must have been pretty severe. Wellemeyer to Miss Start Due to Elbow Inflammation
As expected, Todd Wellemeyer will miss his scheduled start Tuesday because of elbow inflammation. An MRI on Todd Wellemeyer’s inflamed right elbow Friday showed no structural damage. Mitchell Boggs will get the nod. “It’s nothing serious,” said Wellemeyer. “I felt it after my start against Pittsburgh and again Thursday’s game. It was enough to get it checked out.” He’ll throw a bullpen session Tuesday and expects to avoid the disabled list. Wellemeyer has already eclipsed his career high for innings in a season, so it’s not much of a surprise that he’s having inflammation issues. (Rotoworld)

Gerut Hitting .333 Since May 21st
Jody Gerut went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday’s win over the Mets. Gerut’s early season struggles have largely disappeared since he moved to center field upon Jim Edmonds’ release. He’s hitting .333 (20-for-60) since May 21, pushing his season average to .272. He usually sits against lefties, which stunts his value, but he’s useful in larger NL-only leagues. (Rotowire)

Wilson Notches 17th Save
Brian Wilson recorded his 17h save of the season Sunday, working a scoreless ninth inning to help protect the Giants’ 6-3 win over the Nationals. Wilson allowed just a walk and struck out one, lowering his ERA to 4.26 in the process. He’s firmly entrenched as San Francisco’s closer. (Rotowire)

Gamel Hitting .408 Against Southpaws
Mat Gamel went 3-for-5 with a homer and a steal for Double-A Huntsville on Sunday. With 16 hits in his last 10 games, Gamel has really cooled off. He’s at .384/.451/.671 with 14 homers for the season. Especially impressive is that the left-handed hitter is batting .408 versus southpaws. (Rotoworld)

Spilborghs Out with Stiff Back
Ryan Spilborghs has a stiff lower back, the Rockies’ official site reports. He pinch-hit on Sunday and should benefit from an off day on Monday. With starting left fielder Matt Holliday (hamstring) due to return on Tuesday, Spilborghs will lose his everyday role. He could win significant playing time in center field and occasional starts in right field. (Rotowire)

Reynolds Earns First Victory
Greg Reynolds recorded his first major league victory after allowing two runs in six innings versus the Brewers on Saturday. Reynolds didn’t have a strikeout in the game. He hasn’t embarrassed himself in six starts to date, but his 9/20 K/BB ratio in 34 1/3 innings suggests that he isn’t up to stay. (Rotoworld)

Bowker Hot Again – Grand Slam!
John Bowker hit his first career grand slam Saturday off the Nationals’ Luis Ayala. Bowker hit three homers in his first six major league starts, but he entered tonight’s affair with just one in the last six weeks. Fortunately for him, the Giants haven’t come up with anyone better to replace him. He’s batting .248 in 137 at-bats. Bowker has homered in back-to-back games and is streaking right now. Consider him a solid option in Fantasy Week 11 (June 9-15) in NL-only leagues, especially since the Giants have seven games in the scoring period. (Rotoworld, CBS Sports)

Lyon Earns 14th Save
Brandon Lyon turned in his 20th straight scoreless appearance on Saturday to earn his 14th save of the season. Lyon had an awful spring and then blew two of his first three save chances of the season, but he hasn’t allowed a run since that second blown save on April 6. His ERA stands at 1.44. (Rotoworld)

Campillo Hits Some Bumps in the Road
Braves SP Jorge Campillo, surprisingly good in his first three starts, has hit a bump in the road in two starts since. He allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings Sunday against the Phillies, striking out two. He didn’t factor in the decision. Campillo has a 6.75 ERA but only a 2.17 ERA overall. The longtime minor-league journeyman was pitching way over his head earlier in the season and probably doesn’t deserve a look outside of NL-only leagues. His next start is scheduled for Saturday at the Angels. (CBS Sports)

Iannetta Warming Up Again
Rockies C Chris Iannetta followed Brad Hawpe’s grand slam with a solo shot on the next pitch in Saturday’s win over the Milwaukee Brewers. It marks the first time this season the Rockies have hit back-to-back homers. Iannetta also had an RBI single and raised his average to .289 on the season. With home runs in three of his last five games, Iannetta is starting to settle in again at the plate after struggling for most of May. Iannetta continues to split time behind the plate with Yorvit Torrealba, and until that changes, he is nothing more than a NL-only Fantasy option. Iannetta still remains a solid long-term keeper. Andruw Jones in Recovery – Running Well
Andruw Jones is ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery and has already begun hitting in batting cages. “I feel like I can run, but they don’t want me to run yet,” Jones said. He remains unlikely to come off the disabled list this month, but could be back before the All-Star break. (Rotoworld)
