Teixeira Heating Up Earlier Than Usual

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that usual slow starter Mark Teixeira is 14-for-38 (.368) with six extra-base hits and 10 RBI in his past nine games. The Braves 1B hit .203 with five extra-base hits and seven RBI in his first 16 games. When Teixeira heats up, he’s a sight to behold. He has the potential to hit .300 with 40 home runs, and he looks ready to gain some ground on those projections. Get him active if you’re part of the four percent of Fantasy owners who somehow found reason to bench him. (CBS Sports)
