Diamondbacks RP Brandon Lyon needed just 11 pitches to retire three hitters in the ninth inning of Wednesday’s 4-1 win against the Giants. He did not allow a hit, walk or run while netting his third save. He hasn’t allowed a run in his last three outings (three innings) and has two saves in that span.His hold on the job is slowly beginning to tighten up, as he’s now recorded three straight scoreless frames while set-up man Tony Pena has been knocked around a little bit.
