Brandon Webb: Decent Outing
Brandon Webb limited the Reds to two runs and three hits over six innings to pick up a victory on Opening Day. The Reds started the fourth with a Ken Griffey Jr. walk, a Brandon Phillips RBI triple and an Adam Dunn RBI groundout for their only runs in a 4-2 game. Webb wasn’t quite in midseason form while walking four batters, but it was a nice change from a month of March in which he posted an 8.50 ERA and allowed 34 runs in 18 innings. Webb threw 56 of his 91 pitches for strikes and avoided trouble outside of the Reds’ fourth inning. Webb is in line to make his second start of the season against the Rockies at Coors Field on Saturday. (Rotoworld)
